What this is

The Grand Gate Gardens Cohort is a five-week, hands-on bookkeeping experience built around a real multi-month file with real source documents.

You’ll work through the simulation independently each week, then join a live small-group session to:
  • Ask Questions
  • Compare approaches
  • Talk through judgment calls
  • Troubleshoot real-world scenarios
  • Sanity check your thinking

This Cohort Is a Good Fit If You:

  • Want real bookkeeping experience, not just instruction
  • Have worked in QBO (or similar) but want deeper confidence
  • Learn best by doing, not just watching
  • Want to discuss decisions with other bookkeepers
  • Are ready to commit 2–4 hours per week

What You’ll Work Through

Over five weeks, you’ll complete:
  • Three full months of bookkeeping
  • Two GST/HST filings
  • A quarterly review cycle
  • Real troubleshooting scenarios that show up in actual files
Each week includes:
  • 2–4 hours of independent work
  • One live Zoom review session
  • Lifetime access to the full simulation and walkthroughs
Small groups (max 12 total, split into two groups of 6) ensure time for discussion.

Cohort Pricing  40% Off

Cohort Price $598.20 + Tax
(Regular Simulation Price $997 + Tax)
This is the structured, scheduled version of the simulation.
Cohort pricing is available for this March session only.

Access & Pacing

You receive immediate access to the full simulation when you enroll. Documents are not “released” week-by-week.
You can:
  • Work ahead
    or
  • Stay aligned with the weekly schedule
    or
  • Move slightly behind and catch up
The weekly live sessions follow a structured flow, but you’re welcome to bring questions from earlier periods if needed.
If you fall behind one week, the cohort continues and you keep lifetime access to complete the simulation at your own pace.
The goal is experience and discussion, not perfection.

FAQ

Is this live coaching?

Yes, in a structured group format. You work independently during the week, then join a small group zoom session (max 6 participants per group) to discuss decisions and questions in real time.

Do I use my own business data?

No. You will work inside a fresh bookkeeping file that you create specifically for the simulation. There are instructions within the simulation on how to create and set up this file, with the option of using QBO's 30 day free trial account. You'll download the provided sourced documents and enter them into the new QBO file.

Do I have to start immediately after purchasing, or do I need to wait until the cohort starts?

The live cohort rhythm begins February 25th. You’re welcome to follow along week-by-week with the group, or begin exploring the course earlier if you prefer.

Is this beginner friendly? Do I need bookkeeping experience before joining?

No prior formal bookkeeping experience is required. The simulation is designed to meet all learners where they are at. The Simulation course provides complete walkthroughs that are bookmarked and optional. There are two sets of documents that are available for download, one with "Nomi Notes" for those looking for extra guidance, and March's documents are designed as a gentle on ramp. The bookkeeping scenarios grow in complexity as the simulation progresses.

How much does it cost?

The March 2026 cohort is $598.20 + Tax (40% off the regular simulation price of $997).
It includes five live small group sessions plus lifetime access to the full simulation.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes - reach out to me at naomi@naomiwlkins.ca for further details.

What happens if I fall behind?

The weekly live sessions follow a structured flow, but you’re welcome to bring questions from earlier periods if needed. If you fall behind one week, the cohort continues and you keep lifetime access to complete the simulation at your own pace.
