More Fabulous Free Resources for Entrepreneurs!
  1. Learn About Your Taxes: I love Canada! Did you know Canada has a free online course to learn and teach all about Canadian Personal Income Taxes? Learn about the tax system, how to do your taxes, common tax terms, and more! It's also useful for teachers and parents to use with their students! Financial literacy and understanding how taxes work is important, even if you do not file your own income tax returns, it's still important to understand how it works, especially as an entrepreneur!

  2. Free HR Resources from your Insurance Company: Here is a small business resource that you may have been unaware of: Your insurance agent! All insurance companies have a risk management department. It's essentially what determines your rates, how high of a risk you are. And many insurance companies have resources available to help you. Some are better than others, but they can help you with things like: HR: Employee handbooks, company policies, forms, documents, guides (what you can and can't do/say with employees), Safety: OSHA regulations, signage, etc. Benefits: Handouts, newsletters, quit smoking and weight loss programs.

  3. Ministry/Board of Labour Newsletter: Did you know that the minimum wage in Ontario increased in October 2024 to $17.20? An easy way to stay on top of the changes in labour requirements in your province or territory is to subscribe to their newsletter! Here's the Link to the Ministry of Labour Newsletter for Ontario with a link to subscribe!
