Over automation can be a bad thing, for sure. Automating a bad process just means you make mistakes more efficiently. But... leveraging automation wisely can be an amazing time saver! Read on for some automation ideas that may work well for your business!
  1. Payroll Taxes - If you have employees, you have options when it comes to what you use to process your payroll. And some of those solutions offer the option of paying your payroll tax source deductions for you! Wagepoint is an example of a payroll application that withdraws both the employee net cheque amount AND the deductions and company taxes every time a payroll is processed. They take care of remitting the source deductions for your so on the 15th of the month, you have one less thing to worry about!

  2. Automating Regular Payrolls - I am not affiliated with Wagepoint, but, they were the inspiration for this month's hacks! That is because I gave them a try this year myself, and a message popped up about automating regular payrolls! This only works if all of your employees are on Salary, of course. But if that's the case, you can do a "set it and forget it" for the year, and there's yet another "one less thing" that you need to do a coupe of times a month!

  3. Online Scheduler - These greatly reduce the back and forth time of arranging appointments with clients. But wait, there's more! You can connect to apps such as zoom and have the meeting automatically created, and link shared with the client, and have it automatically sync to your calendar. You can add questions to the booking to tell you more about the client, including their contact info, and you can share documents with them that they may need for the meeting. PLUS you can gain control over your schedule, limiting creep into time you have set aside to be productive or be with family. There are different apps to choose from, but Calendly and Acuity tend to be favorites. Personally, I'm exited to look into 17hats to see what time savings they offer, as scheduling is only one. It's on my list of apps to review, so stay tuned to find out more!

What are your personal tips and tricks for creating efficient processes? I'd love to share them in an upcoming newsletter, and give a shout out to your business!
